Category pages on an E-commerce website attract the most visitors, making it essential to prioritize them with an appealing, user-friendly design. This approach ensures that site navigation is both effortless and enjoyable for users.
In this project I was responsible for building the category pages on the website according to the design provided by Senior Graphic Designer.
The website is built on Magento. The main challenge was to recreate the responsive design using Magento’s page builder possibilities and improve it with custom CSS, but at the same time not to overload the pages with complicated CSS structures as the code should remain readable and editable for designers less experienced in CSS.
The Category pages are fully responsive, each category block has a hover effect, all the information is kept above the fold for users to be able to scan it quickly.
